Alloys 347 (S34700) stainless steel and 347H (S34709) stainless steel are stabilized stainless by the addition of columbium and tantalum which offer as their main advantage an excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion following exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range from 800 to 1500°F (427 to 816°C). This results in higher elevated temperature allowable stresses for these stabilized alloys for ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code applications.

● Features

1. Non-magnetic, austenitic stainless steel with excellent inter-granular high and sensitization corrosion resistance by adding columbium and tantalum contents, and Elevated Temperature Oxidation Resistance.
2. Strength of this stabilized alloy 347 stainless steel is distinctly higher than that of non-stabilized 304 stainless alloys at temperatures of 1000°F (538°C) and above.
3. High carbon Alloy 347H (S34709) stainless steel have higher strength at temperatures above 1000°F (537°C). ASME maximum allowable design stress data for Alloy 347H reflects the higher strength of this grade in comparison to the lower carbon Alloy 347 grade.

● Applications

1. Large-size boiler heating equipment, re-heater, steam pipeline, petroleum heat exchanger.
2. Architecture and Chemical process equipment, such as Aircraft, Pressure vessel and some parts which are unable to make heat treatment after processing or assembling.
