● Features

1. Representative martensitic stainless steel, low cost and stable price without Ni contect;
2. Higher tensile strength and good hardenability, Good cutability under annealed state;
3. Not good in cold formability and weldability, should make heat treatment shortly after welding to avoid any crack.
420/420J1 (2Cr13) stainless steel: High hardness & resistant to corrosion can be attained by quenching.
420J2 (3Cr13) stainless steel: Higher hardness than 420 after quenching (Magnetic).

● Applications

Due to higher tensile and hardness, widely applied in Bearing, precise instrument and meter, knives, water headers, valves, utensile, turbine and some mechanical components etc.
